Product Information: Plibrico® 68 SA is a mullite-based phosphate-bonded plastic refractory. It is similar in chemistry and minerology to Plibrico 68 S but contains an important enhancement. This refractory incorporates a high mullite-content aggregate in an alumina-fortified phosphate bonding matrix that utilizes the Plibrico Company’s proprietary monoaluminium phosphate. Plibrico 68 SA also features an improved aggregate sizing distribution. The improved sizing distribution gives the plastic a smoother texture which can result in improved ramming characteristics with reduced slumping. Other product attributes include:
- High hot strength
- Good refractoriness under load (RUL)
- Good volume stability through its service temperature range
- Excellent abrasion resistance

- Non-wetting to aluminum
